Really? On my windows 7 install, authenticated users can create new folders at c:\. I've seen 2 vendors take advantage of it this week.

The default doesn't allow this. Is there a possibility that a Group Policy is over riding allowing this to happen? JamesCCA

I just installed Windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit from scratch. Under security permissions for c:\, Authenticated Users have these Special permissions: Special Subfolders and files only Create folders / append data This folder only
